Standard Beauty: The Right Choice

This is a hypothetical advert made for TikTok for Standard Beauty, a South African skincare company.

The brief was to create a TikTok advert that would appeal to young people in the late teens or early 20s.

The Objective

To create an advert that appeals to young people.

To make Standard Beauty the brand that aligns with students' ethical values so that more awareness of the brand can be created.

The Insight

Gen Z care about ethically sources and cruelty free products. They do not just care about the physical things a product can do for them. Gen Z knows that ethical behaviour leads to feeling good about oneself.

The Concept

"Glow Up"

This concept is that to glow up is your outer and inner beauty. Making ethical choices is what makes you beautiful.

The Solution

The solution was a TikTok video that focuses on the social positives of Standard Beauty. The idea is to communicate Standard Beauties values to Gen Z, like how the products are cruelty free and the brand is incredibly inclusive.
